About me:

Anna has a professional nursing background in both Psychiatry and General Medicine.
Throughout her career she has been privileged to work with people who have presented with a wide spectrum of problems – both physical and psychological.
Anna moved abroad for a few years, and on her return set up a pilot within primary care to meet the gap between the GP and Community Mental Health Team working as a Specialist Practice Nurse for Mental Health.
In 2009 Anna decided to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist – working with people who were suffering with Depression, and the very many Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Specific Phobia’s.
Since then she has enjoyed working within the NHS and Private Practise, University of Cambridge Counselling Service for the Universities Staff and has facilitated groups for clients in a residential Rehabilitation centre for alcohol and substance abuse.
Her goal in therapy is for the individual to become their own Therapist, equipped with the ‘tools’ to enable them to manage their presenting problems. Added to this, due to her training as a General Nurse Anna is always mindful of the importance of physical Wellbeing for her clients as well.
